I don't think you did anything wrong. But I don't know why you think he "hates" you now. You said he "won't" talk to you -- does that mean you call and he hangs up on you, or you text and he tells you off? Or does that mean he just hasn't replied to your msgs? Just because he doesn't reply or call you doesn't mean he hates you. Could be he feels guilty about dating another girl but still having feelings for you (and just between you and me, for the rest of your life, no matter who you're with or if you're married or what, people still have feelings for more than one person at a time, it's normal). It is frustrating to care about someone but not be near them, and to be confused about how they feel and what's going on. I'm sorry to say it, but long distance relationships rarely work out, especially at your age when you can't drive to see each other and your communication is still being controlled by parents. It's ok to have feelings for him while you look for someone closer to home. It's an old saying, but true. There are other fish in the sea.
