Yes it was a true accident; I had a treat between my thumb and finger, letting her lick and gnaw on it to keep her attention, and she got my thumb between her bicuspids. So I have a kind of puncture wound, no bigger than a pencil eraser, on the side end of my thumb. It hurts terribly and is issuing a steady blood flow (would this be venous?). I applied pressure for a minute, it's still bleeding. I wrapped a band-aid on it after rinsing it tightly, I can see a stain forming under it. Do I pressure to an artery next? If so, where? I'm elevating it above my heart. Could it be my nail hurting, since it looks cracked? What do I do with a broken nail?

Try a swim diaper. Babies poop...a lot! Maybe just the timing, or maybe a reaction to being put in the water. The swim diaper will at least hold the "little brown squishy things" in. Though they don't hold pee in, so when you feel the temperature of the pool get warmer, you know someone peed in the pool!

My dog is giving birth right now she's had the first pup and cleaned him w/o any problems. I'm getting worried though the first pup isn't finding the nipple. Breastfeeding help PLEASE?

My son was born a month early so as he was just a little more weak than a normal newborn, it took him a little bit more for him to feed a full meal from the breast. From day one he knew how to latch on but would only ever do it for 10 seconds or so. The doctor told me to keep working on it and he should start to get a hang of it closer to his due date. He is now one month old and just passed his due date. I kind of have started to use a bottle more than anything as I wanted to make sure he was eating and gaining weight as needed. He still latches on and has even eaten a couple full meals from the breast but now I am ready to get rid of the bottle completely. When it's time to eat I put him to the breast but he gets so frustrated so I calm him down and then back to the breast after we work at it for about 30 minutes I'll give him a bottle :/ I know that's my first mistake. Should I just let him keep crying since I know he know's how to do it OR how should I go about this? Any advice or words of encouragement would be appreciated. Has anyone else went a month and finally got it? I am dedicated to breastfeeding and do not want to give up...........

The wedding pictures are not good at all, two so blown out that you lose details and part of the man's head and the one on the dock you lose part of his face to shadows. How did I get a male yeast infection, and why won't it go away?!?!?!?!!!!!!?

Okay, for over a month now, I have had a male yeast infection. It started out as dry skin. I went to puerto rico, and after returning home it got a lot worse (because of the heat and humidity). At this point, it began to itch like ALL HELL. I didn't know any better, and I didnt know it was fungal, so I scratched it vigorously thinking it was just dry skin. For a little while it felt better, but later, my penis basicly turned into a throbing red, peeling, scaling, inflamed, unGodly itchy thing that looked like a dying mushroom. I AM NOT EXAGGERATING AT ALL. I tried all different creams and moisturizeers to get the itch to go away. They made my penis more inflamed and unbearably itchy, and NO antifungals did ANYTHING. My mom must have picked up on it, because she asked what was wrong, so I told her and she asked my dad. He said it was hock itch, so he gave me a powder spray that was supposed to make it go away in a week. It only burned and made things worse, and I continued to stress that it was not jock itch, but I was afraid to say I was almost positive it was yeast. If stimulated in ANY way (ie itching, masterbating), it would have a furiously raging itching reaction that would TORTURE me all day and keep me up ALL NIGHT crying in helplessness. I had to refrain from touching it all day, or else I knew it would keep me up all night. Eventually, it had kept me up for 72 hours STRAIGHT, and was taking over my entire life. I was literally contemplating suicide, and had thoughts that i would be happier if I could have my entire lower body sawed off. I went to the doctor, and she told me it was definetely fungal, and that it looked like yeast. She prescribed me some kind of "over the counter" cream that was supposed to kill the yeast in not much more than a week. After 6 days of treatment, it was totally gone. I decided it would be okay to stimulate it(you know what I mean), so I did. Later that night, I went to see a show with my friends, and in to middle of the show, I noticed a tickling sensation. By the end, it was so itchy it took all of my dignity not to burst into tears and to just run out of the auditorium and just cut my dick off. On the way back to his moms car (in the dark), I gouged it vigorously until it pulsed and bled. I wanted to put it into a paper shredder and watch it be shredded into pieces. I went to friendly's after the show with my friends and a few girls from his town. I was really looking forward to meeting these really girls who were in the show, but I merely ran into the bathroom and clawed my dick open. I couldn't even think and speak rationally. It is never ok for a baby to sleep on an elevated surface no matter the age unless you will be there the entire time they sleep. You should get a crib, you can find them at yard sales, places like good will, craigslist or just buy one new. they are not that expensive. If you are too cheap to buy a crib so that you know your child is safe at night, then you should probably rethink having a child. The weight limit should always be followed, that is another safety thing.

Newborn and family dog?

I'm having a natural birth which means I will be home with the baby a few hours after giving birth (assuming all goes well). We have a very well trained border collie 2-3 years old who is not allowed in the baby room at all and is very good about not jumping on me. However, we obviously don't want him mixing with the newborn too much and I will need to recover. We originally were going to have the dog stay at my parents' house who have acreage etc and then bring him home after a week but now I'm concerned that he will be fearful of the baby or jealous if he has to go away because of her. This breed is known for separation anxiety and has never been away from us for more than 3 days so I feel a week away from us will hurt his feelings and possibly bring out aggression toward the baby. It is a uterine infection common in unspayed female cats. it will kill them if not treated. I am due on September 30th and I am clueless about how much newborn clothes to buy? I don't know if you can, or have health insurance, but it really sounds like it would be good for you to talk to a counselor about some of the anger issues you have before you harm yourself or someone else. But, it seriously sounds like you have some stressful stuff going on, with your mother, and your anger and emotions. No one can sit here and diagnose you because we aren't doctors. If I were you though, I'd ask one of your parents if you could maybe see a counselor for stress. Or even go to the school counselor. Sounds crazy I know, but it might help, and someone else might be able to help. I can't give you a reason for why you act the way you do. Also-yes the repetitive hand washing could border on obsessive compulsive disorder. The paranoid thoughts aren't healthy either, it would be helpful for you to seek a psychiatrist-and psychologist . I stopped trying to breastfeed when my daughter was 1 1/2 weeks old. It wasn't working for us for many reasons...my milk wasn't as plentiful as she would have liked and my 2 year old son always acting up when I tried to feed her knowing I wasn't as fast to get up and put him in time out were two of the main reasons. She would get frusterated at the lack of milk at first and then she just stopped trying after a few days. I feel like I am a horrible mom for not trying longer but the truth is it was making life hard for us both and I was a weepy mess. I love her so much and wanted to give her all the best. Why would my breastmilk not be good for my newborn?

I just had my baby boy on june 1st. I've been breastfeeding since he was born and everything was fine up until last wk. After every feeding he started being fussy and would throw up so much. Not spit up but throw up and it would shoot out like a water fountain. I figured it would be something I'm eating or maybe he has acid reflux. But I gave him formula for 2 days and he did not throw up like that. So its not acid reflux. All that I eat is cereal, milk, oatmeal, a lot of fruit, bread and cheese. At first I thought maybe he was lactose intolerant but like I said he did not throw up with the formula so that could not be. Then I started thinking it was the fruit or the pineapple juice I was drinking. But I stopped drinking and eating those and he still continues to throw up. I'm so bummed I want to breastfeed so bad. What do you think it can be or what should I do? I took him to the dr and he said it was probably something I ate but what? :(

So I am 25 and going to to be taking online courses that last 7 weeks, two at a time. When I was younger I attempted to do schooling, but really that wasn't my priority. I was 17 and living on my own. All I knew is I needed money to survive, so I worked a lot. If I would been able to live my parents I would have because I had just been accepted into an honors program at a college. Fastforward 8 years, I am now a stay at home mom and take care of my almost 1 year old daughter, in Sept. we will have a son. My husband works 60 hrs a week and just got his certificate to be an HVAC tech. I cannot bear being at home and not helping our family move forward. I want my degree almost more than anything. How do I stand up for my wife over something that happened months ago?

Long story short, back when my wife and I were dating there were a few times crap went down between her and her friends or her and my family and I never stood up for her. Trying to switch from Enfamil Premium Infant to Gentleease at 3 weeks?

When I switched my son to gentleease, we alternated bottles. the first gentleease the second the old forumla the third gentleease... if you get that. it helps their tummys adjust. you do that for 10 bottles at least! then fully be on gentleease. my son occasionally spits up. but gentleease does make him a little constipated maybe 2 times a week.

My newborn has acid reflux. What can I do to help him?

My baby is 3 weeks old and has been spitting up and vomiting a lot. His doctor says he has acid reflux and gave me a prescription for him. I hate the idea of giving him a prescription med this young. He also recommended Enfamil AR formula, but I would like to exclusively breastfeed only. I have given him the formula for a feeding or two and it seems to help a little. Is it possible to get Chlamydia if you are a virgin?

Before getting started, I want to point out that I'm a VIRGIN. A couple of days ago, my doctor called me after examining my urine from my check up that I have chlamydia. You did a good job on characterization and bringing the feelings of the characters to the readers, but I am not inclined to read any longer. The baby's dead, then what happens? I feel bad for the characters, which is good, but I don't know why I should keep reading, you need to add a bit of suspense to keep the readers interested.

yes i am asking for the 2nd time.. i dn't knw why there are alot of different opinions can i get an answer.. This sounds similar to my symptoms. I have had what you are describing and more. The neurological symptoms I experienced led me to go to a neurologist. I was diagnosed with Autonomic and small fiber neuropathy, which I later found, is a symptom of Late Stage, or Chronic Lyme disease. It sounds like they need to change your dose of beta blocker, because once they got that right for me, it is very seldom that i have issues. I was put on a beta blocker for it, so save your time and money and skip the autonomic testing and pursue looking into Lyme disease. Most Doctors are very ignorant about the disease. You need to find a LLMD. Autonomic neuropathy can be acquired or inherited. I never tested positive for lyme either, but I have no doubt in my mind that I have it. I have been blessed to find a Dr to treat me, with a clinical diagnosis.

Panic Attacks Again (unusual behavior)?

Ok so ive suffered from Panic Disorder for a very long time...i believe initally this started because of an emense amount of school bullying in high school,that has affected me for the rest of my life.Then as i was in my teens i used a fair bit of meth and got so many panic attacks it was wayyy to over whelming.To the point where every time i came down of meth I would have a crazy panic attack where i wanted to run run run away from the situation i was in at the time and would do anything to escape.After i quit using meth for obvious reasons.I would still for a couple of years get panic attacks for no apparent reason,say if something was overwhelming (mind you this can be a Happy event) I even missed my daughters birthday because of a panic attack i was so excited but worried i wouldnt host her party properly and thought suddenly i wasnt good enough.I still to this day hate myself for that and think what a bad mother i was even though realistically i am an amazing mother. Anyway just recently i had a heavy night of drinking and had my best friend and her partner look after my children at our house overnight.When i arrived home i wasnt too bad but as soon as i walked into the dooor I started to get paranoid and thinking that they were looking wierd at me like there was something wrong with me.I started to avoid the babysitters and pray that they would go home soon and leave.I can deal with a panic attack on my own with my kids but to have ppl around freaks me out,i needed to clear my head alone.So i kept going outside for a smoke and a full blown attack started.Mind you my friend who babysat is my bestest friend in the whole world but i was sooo paranoid about who know what?? So I sat outside trying to work out how to run away from the situation.I was soooo fearfu;,felt like a bad mum again and told my partner im going to bed and having another panic attack :( I felt soooo rude but i was in emense fear...i feel like such an idiot...i hate this.So i hid under my blankets like a newborn baby rocking back and forward,trying to work out how to make this insanity stop.I hated myself again and had visions of cutting myself to release the pain and hope it would go.I prayed no one would come in and talk to me because i stutter and freak out when im confronted.Heres the bit that freaked me out i was dying to go to the toilet so bad and held it in for ages...hoping they would leave so i woul;d feel partially normal again.But they didnt do i found a small bowl under my bed and went to the toilet int their.I felt so retarded and fearful of having to run from my room to the toilet because i didnt want anyone to see me..wtf is wrong with me...stooping to peeing in a bowl for the avoidence of others and being confronted.I feel totally insane. Do I have some sort of disorder or am i just generally insane?

Sometimes i will be thinking to myself and i will whisper it as i am thinking it and i repeat the sameword over andover overpronouncing s and t and things. I believe that all inanimate objects are alive and i need to be nice to them. Sometimes when i see something smaall like a mark on a wall i see it moving. I have some minor ocd tendancies. I am extremely anxious expesially in social situations. Ive had panic attacks because of it. I am paranoid. I always fear that monsters are going to attack me. Less now at my new house. At my old house there were monsters in the bathroom that would plot to kill me . I talk to myself and also i communicate to a bunch of little friends. I space out like theres no tomorrow. I have bad anger issues. I have trouble concentating and always seem to be moving. I have a phobia of things pointing at me and also bees. I imagine things gouging out my eyes and stabbing me. I go through swings of depression usually related to anxiety. I take care of my stuffed animals and am occasionally scared that a couple of them will attack me. Theres a bit more but its mostly stuff like that. Iama 15 year old girl in freshman year of high school. What do you think? Keep in mind i realize these things and i am usually able to function alright with daily activities.

Putting newborn formula in the fridge?

I have a newborn baby boy, he is almost 3 weeks old, my question is we feed him Enfamil milk (powder), so what I do is make 4 bottles (4 ounces) each and put them in the Fridge, when baby is ready to eat, I take one out and put in a bottle warmer, the rest stay in the fridge till baby ready to eat again, so a co-worker was telling today, we suppose to make the food on demand and not put them in the fridge

Hi. Why do some dn't believe in god and religion. And what is wrong in believing in god?

I think one of the problems is that people confuse religion and faith. Faith being your personal belief in god and religion being the belief structure or the politics that goes a long with faith. Now are a lot of people out there telling others what they should believe in not to mention twisting god to fit their own personal beliefs and attack others based on those beliefs. It has been that way through out history. They tell you to fear god but god loves everyone well which is it. Their is nothing wrong with believing in god, but their is something wrong with jamming your views down other peoples throat. People also blame god for the bad things that happen in life, but on the flip side people thank him for the good. If you believe that he helps with the good then you have to believe he is there with the bad. I personally think he is not involved with any. That's my belief. Remember when it comes to god religion is good but like any relationship it's between the 2 of you and no one else can tell you if it's right or wrong because it's yours.

I think it looks really nice if you take care of it properly and keep it clean. Ofc Nails can be dangerous for eyes, soft babies etc. Also it can be dangerous to you and pretty painful if it breaks in wrong way.
