Newborn with receding hair line?

My son is 3 weeks old & since birth he has had a receding hair line & his hair is very thin. both my boyfriend & i have very thick hair with no receding line & i have a daughter who was born with the most beautiful thick hair (no receding line) & still has that same hair she's 10. will he ever grow a full head of hair or will his hair line recede for life?
